Tse Ka Li
Library director of the Tai Po Methodist School
Tse Ka Li graduated from the Education University of Hong Kong in 1995, and has been the library director of the Tai Po Methodist School for almost ten years. She loves reading picture books, especially touching stories by children's authors and illustrators. She feels that these stories can open readers' minds. In recent years, she has been actively participating in and held children's picture book promotion activities. She launched the “Reading Ambassador” project to cultivate fifth- and sixth-graders to read stories and share reading with first- and second-graders. She also held the “Love to Read – Love to Share” Award for students to develop the habit of recording their reading, and make students share their reading with classmates, family and teachers. Tse promotes reading with primary students' hobbies and interests in addition to advising them how to share good books. She also nurtures them as “library mice” by presenting their learning results— their little picture books.
