One-sided Ma is a painter. He likes to paint, go on walks and leads a simple and routine lifestyle. On his friend’s birthday, he paints a picture as a present. The next day, many friends arrive to wish Winter a happy birthday. They see Ma’s painting and start a heated discussion. How is One-sided Ma’s painting special? Through this story, the author aims to share with children, in a humorous way, the beauty of “blank-leaving,” a unique form of expression in Chinese paintings.
