Fok Yuk Ying
Associate Professor in Department of Literature and Cultural Studies, the Education University of Hong Kong, and President of Children's Literature and Culture Association of Hong Kong
Fok Yuk Ying completed her Ph.D. at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is currently an associate professor in the Department of Literature and Cultural Studies at the Education University of Hong Kong. She has been devoted to teaching and researching children's literature and has focused on the study and collation of Hong Kong children's literature and historical material. In recent years, she has dedicated herself to promoting the creation and reading of picture books. In 2011, she established the “Children's Literature and Culture Association of Hong Kong,” which aims to provide local authors and illustrators with a platform for interaction.
She is the author of Starry Sky, Stories from the Heart: Guide of Chinese Children's Literature, Stories from the Heart: Selection of Chinese Children's Literature, etc. In addition to her research and teaching, she also writes for children. Her fiction The Silent Note has been selected as one of the “Top Ten Good Books” from SHKP Book Club.
