Fok Yuk Ying
Associate Professor in Department of Chinese, the Education University of Hong Kong. Fok Yuk Ying holds a Ph.D. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is currently an associate professor of the Department of Chinese in the Education University of Hong Kong. She has been dedicated to promoting and teaching children’s literature, as well as introducing children’s literature into primary school curriculum.
She is the author of Starry Sky, Children’s Hearts, Children’s Poems: Introduction to the Children’s Poem Collection, Children’s Hearts, Children’s Fun: Edited Selection on the Reference for Children’s Literature Teaching, (5 volumes); editor of Fly, Just Want to Fly: The Selection of Children’s Poems, The Little White Poplar on the Way of Our Journey, Language Reformation and Children’s Literature Studies: Proceedings of the Children’s Literature and Language Education Seminar, and Contemporary Children’s Literature (6 volumes). In addition to her research and teaching, she also writes for children. Her work The Silent Note has been selected as one of the “Top Ten Good Books” from SHKP Book Club.
