Fiona Feng-hsin Liu
Associate Professor, Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, National Chung Hsing University
Liu had her Doctoral degree in Language and Literary Education from University Park, Pennsylvania State University, U.S. She was a former assistant professor at National Taitung Teachers College (now National Taitung Normal University) and is now an associate professor at the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, National Chung Hsing University. Her research areas include children/ young-adult literature in Taiwan, US and UK. Her recent research focuses on trauma narratives, war narratives, children and urban space, and the modernity and postmodernity of childhood. Her undergraduate courses include “Literature for Children and Young Adults, ” “Fairytales and Folklores,” “Children's Fantasy Literature,” and “Literature and Childhood Studies.” She often publishes her critical analysis on children's literature, and has served as a judge of children's book awards. She is also the translator of The Pleasures of Reading Children's Literature.
