Promoter for reading and Storytelling

Symbolized by a Chinese cabbage icon, Aunty Choi (Joyce Choi) likes to describe herself as a “pak choi”: “Pak choi白菜” is Chinese cabbage in Cantonese. The word has the same pronunciation as her real family name, “choi 蔡”. Aunty Choi has a real passion for storytelling and picture books. She loves to share the pleasure of reading with people of any age. She has visited several voluntary organizations, charity foundations, primary schools, and kindergartens all over Hong Kong. She believes from her heart that reading continues throughout one's life, and that it is the base of lifelong learning. Hence, she has been devoted to promoting parent-child reading, holding picture book study groups, and discussing with book-lovers. She is currently a columnist for the parent-child section of Mingpao, and introduces inspiring picture books in the parent-child magazineFam .
