Bei Lynn was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1973, she published her first picture book, To Be Fish, in 1999, and has continued to write and draw picture books ever since. Her stories combine fantasy and reality, she believes that finding the happiness hidden in the ordinary, such as blossoming flowers or chicks hatching from eggs, can be truly marvelous. Her illustrations are mainly made of watercolor, pencil and mixture of hand-drawn collage in computer.
Her books have been translated into four languages. Her publications, including Gus, the Dinosaur Bus, Moonlight Skating Rink, Everyone Slept a Hundred Years, I Guess I'll Put It Off Until Tomorrow, Kata Kata Kata and the most recent Fei Fei and Her Notebooks, etc, have won her many prizes such as the China Times Best Children's Book of the Year, Taipei Public Library Best Children's Book and Best Illustrator of the Year, and a special recommendation at the Taiwan Pavilion during the Bologna Book Fair.
