Meilo So was born in Hong Kong and educated in the United Kingdom at a convent school and subsequently at Brighton College of Art. She lives with her family in in the Shetland Islands, Scotland. She published her first children’s book in 1987. She has illustrated many acclaimed and award-winning books. Her book ‘Pale Male’ was one of ‘The Best 10 picture books of 2008’ by the New York Review of Books.
