Artist and illustrator for Picture Books

Hsu Su-Hsia was born in Miaoli, Taiwan. She was a professor in the Department of Arts and Design at the National Hsinchu University of Education. Her watercolor and illustration works were selected to be used as greeting cards by The United Nations Children's Fund. Hsu has also held a number of solo exhibitions in Taiwan and France. Besides fine art teaching and creation, she devotes herself to several aspects of picture books, such as creations, research and critiques, book review as well as translation, and pays particular attention to the study and practice of image characteristics and artistic expression in picture books. Hsu was the first Taiwanese artist to be nominated at the Bologna Children's Book Fair .
