He has published History of Chinese Children's Literature Theory Development, Thoughts on the Acceptance of Children's Literature, Contemporary Thinking of Children's Literature, Introduction to French Children's Literature, Aesthetic Approaches of Children's Literature, Childhood, Literature, Culture, Fang Weiping's Studies on Children's Literature Theories (four volumes), and more. He is also the review writer for The Best Children's Literature Reader (three volumes) and The Best Juvenile Literature Reader (three volumes). He is the chief editor of Children's Literature Curriculum and Chinese Imagination in Children's Literature.
