Zhang Ning was graduated from China University of Petroleum. She worked for Sinopec. She later worked as a graphic editor at Han Sheng Magazine and edited many books, such as “Qingming”, “Cicheng．Ningbo ricecake” “Guo Dong Cun” and “Yu Yuancun”. Being an editor, she got to know more about the traditional folks art and was very impressed by it. After her resignation from Han Sheng in 2009, she started creating children picture books.
