Tsai Minling
Professor of Department of Early Childhood and Family Education in National Taipei University of Education, Taiwan
Tsai Minling is born in Taipei. She received her doctoral degree in Early Childhood Education in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She loves thinking in mobile space. She also likes to listen to children narrating their life and explore picture books. She is now Professor of Department of Early Childhood and Family Education in National Taipei University of Education, and offers undergraduate and graduate courses related to children's literature. She often works as the judge of children's book awards and the committee member of book selections. Her present research involves the narrative styles of Taiwanese children and children's self-presentation in their narratives. Her recent works include The Taste of Being a Child: Kinmen County Children's Life Narration (2011), Holiday Performance, Weaving, and Construction: the Atayal children's Experience Narratives (2009), Cultural Apprentice: the Self, Family and Social tension in Children's Life Narratives (2008), Drawing a star for Me: Weaving Literary Network with Children, and “Understanding Young Children's Personal Narratives” (2007, Handbook of Narrative the Inquiry Methodologies).
